SPC Group Opens Eggslut Orchard Scotts Square Store, the First in Singapore

SPC Group announced on September 9 that it has opened the Orchard Scotts Square store of Eggslut, the first location in Singapore for the egg-themed gourmet restaurant chain.
Earlier in 2020, SPC Group acquired the exclusive right to run the chain in Singapore when it signed a contract for Eggslut Korea stores. The group has proven its ability to successfully run food and beverage businesses globally time and again, following the opening of the Singaporean stores of Shake Shack in 2019.
The 99-seat Orchard Scotts Square store in a 265-square-meter space is located on the ground floor of Scotts Square Shopping Mall on Orchard Road, the heart of Singapore’s culture, art and commerce.
The interior of the store followed to the letter the trademark designs of the original Los Angeles store including the neon logos and open kitchen, with the window to the street side made of whole glass, affording the vibrant view of Orchard Road.
The Eggslut Orchard Scotts Square store features menus based on the famous brioche bun of SPC Samlip boasting 75 years of experience in baking, as well as cage-free eggs. The Fairfax Sandwich, its signature menu, and the Slut and the premium menu Gaucho are also on offer.
The Craft Soda, the beverage menu launched in Singapore, is created especially for Eggslut by Singapore’s premier brewer Brewlander, and is offered in two flavors including Elderflower & Lemon and Grapefruit & Ginger. It will also sell coffees roasted by Common Man Coffee Roasters, Singapore’s specialty coffee purveyor.
An SPC Group official said, “Based on the quality standard, infrastructure, and business know-how of our group, we will make sure to successfully run Eggslut stores in Singapore. In addition to Singapore, we are reviewing a plan to move farther afield toward other neighboring Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam for which we have Eggslut franchise rights.”
Since the group launched the first Eggslut store in Korea in July 2020 through its subsidiary SPC Samlip, it has operated three stores in the country. In Singapore, it is running a total of 20 stores for Paris Baguette, Shake Shack brands and Eggslut, moving aggressively in the Southeast Asian market.
