SPC Group Employees Conduct Volunteer Activities for Flood Recovery

 

 

SPC Group (Chairman: Hur Young-in) announced on the 14th that the company’s employees performed emergency relief activities for the swift recovery of areas in the central region affected by the recent torrential rain.

 

With the torrential rain causing various accidents around Seoul, such as flooding of the river, inundation of the roads and houses, and power failure, SPC Group employees, together with Seocho Volunteer Center, performed volunteer activities on the 12th to make sandbags for prevention of and recovery from the overflowing of the Banpocheon Stream at Banpo Sports Park in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

 

The sandbags are used to prevent flood damage caused by overflowing of the stream and assist in successful disaster recovery.

 

SPC Group plans to perform various supporting activities for flood victims again next week.

 

“The employee volunteer activity was organized under one goal that is to be of assistance in swift recovery of areas damaged by the torrential rain,” said an SPC Group official. “We will dedicate to support the local communities in needs.”

 

Since the 9th, SPC Group has donated approximately 7,000 pieces of SPC Samlip bread and 10,000 bottles of water as emergency relief supplies for disaster victims and relief personnel in areas damaged by the torrential rain.
