BR Korea of SPC Group Strengthens Its ESG Management to Create a Happy Future for All
– Making clear action plans for ESG commitment at the ESG promotion team launching ceremony on Sept. 3
– Selecting 13 tasks in four themes including Environment, Society, Governance, and Customer
– Continuing ESG commitment for years to come

BR Korea, a subsidiary of SPC Group, declared the year 2021 as the starting year for its ESG management and promised to fulfill its social responsibilities with a concern of empathy and living harmoniously.
BR Korea held a launching ceremony for the ‘ESG Promotion Team’ at SPC Group’s headquarters in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, on September 3 with the presence of CEO Do Se-ho and executives and staff. Under the slogan of “Happy with Us, BR Korea,” a prosperous future created by BR Korea, members of the ESG Promotion Team were appointed to promote ESG management and new goals were selected.
In consideration of the nature of the franchise, the company has set a total of four major ESG themes: Environment, Society, Governance, and Customer. The ESG Promotion Team members, which consist of 40 executives and employees, will implement a total of 13 tasks under the ESG theme, including eco-friendliness; waste minimization; social contribution; labor-management cooperation; fair and transparent employee evaluation and compensation; creating a corporate culture to make the company a great place to work; fair trading; financial risk management; ethical management, integrated management of customer voices; improving store services; improving the working condition of store workers; and win-win cooperation with franchisees.
BR Korea has promoted pilot projects through the ESG preparation committee created in March of this year. Through this effort, social contribution activities such as the introduction of eco-friendly products and packages, and donation agreements for children patients and their families were undertaken. These ESG management activities will be strengthened continuously with the newly launched ESG Promotion Team.
A BR Korea official said, “Through the ceremony to launch the ESG Promotion Team, both Baskin Robbins and Dunkin will actively carry out activities that can be undertaken together with customers, society, and the environment. As Korea’s leading franchiser, we will continue our ESG commitment to guarantee our customers’ happy future.”
